Dr Anita Di Chiara is a researcher at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, in Rome (Italy). Her research activities are mainly focused on paleomagnetism, the study of the Earth's magnetic field variations in directions and strength in the geological past and its several applications. She focuses on paleomagnetic studies on deep sea, lacustrine, and terrestrial sedimentary rocks, as well as on volcanic rocks and on archeological artifacts.
